If you suffer from depression, you may also have anhedonia. This is a state where your life is joyless. Your mindset is completely negative, or at best neutral. You lack motivation to do anything and can barely force yourself to complete basic life functions. I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to end up in hospital with no desire to do anything, not even live any more. I pulled myself out of this state slowly to the point where I was mostly functional.
That was October 2023. In November 2024, I suffered a relapse. In December 2024, I decided on a plan to stop that ever happening again which is that that every week over the following year (2025) I would take on a new personal challenge.
So I created a list of all the activities I’ve always wanted to try out, places I’ve wanted to visit, skills I’ve wanted to acquire, and adventures I’ve wanted to experience until I had over 52 activities from which to choose my weekly challenge. I’m calling this my Mindset Reset Challenge.
